On Saturday at Belmont Racetrack, Sperando Racing's 8 yr. old gelding by Simon Pure, You Know I Know, must have known something the rest of the betting public didn't. Sent off at 8-1,he was close to the pace throughout - just off the leaders before he spun up 5/16ths from the wire under Jockey Eric Cancel.
You Know I Know steadily rallied on the outside through the final furlong to best heavy favorite, Tug of War by a widening 1/2 length. It was a much deserved and celebrated victory for longtime clients and great friends - John and Denise Sperando. Congratulations to them, all their friends, Jockey Eric Cancel, groom extraordinaire - Federico "Freddy" Torres and Carlos on an outstanding job.
